Cooke Speed Panchros [TLS]

£650.00

A standard by which other prime lenses were measured between the 1930s and 1950s, the Cooke Speed Panchros were estimated by George Eastman to have captured approx. 90% of 16mm films were shot during that time in America. After an intensive design and development process, the TLS team developed and refined a brand new housing that adds modern functionality to an archaic form without losing the “Cooke Look”.

We are very fortunate to be one of very few rental houses to offer such a large set of these fantastic lenses. Our set includes the sought-after S1 28 & 35mm primes. These 1930s Cooke Speed Panchros are truly “uncoated”. The results are completely neutral, soft, organic lens flare/ghost character, and despite the lack of coatings, you can shoot in back-lit situations without completely washing out the lens. This is partly due to their older designs, which have far fewer elements/surfaces than modern optics. The flare/ghost character will often take on some of the colour of the light source as well.

Focal Lengths:
- 18mm T/2.2 [S3]
- 25mm T/2.2 [S3]
- 28mm T/2.2 [S1]
- 32mm T/2.3 [S2]
- 35mm T/2.3 [S1]
- 40mm T/2.2 [S2]
- 50mm T/2.3 [S2]
- 75mm T/2.3 [S2]
- 100mm T/2.8 [Kinetal]
